Dusty Radio FM (104.5 MHz) is a community radio station based in Coober Pedy, South Australia, known as "the Opal Capital of the World". The station was "born" on March 3, 1997 by Bob Pryce, a local media teacher at the Coober Pedy Area School. It started as a non-profit project to train students in media, but quickly grew into a full-fledged community service for locals and tourists.
